By low I mean like C+ to B+ range, or maybe a couple Cs, an A-, and a couple Bs. Or maybe with 1 D thrown in there.
So nothing dreadfully low but definitely a fair drop.

Can this cause any issues if no such requirements are indicated in the acceptance agreement?

In other words, lets say a 3.50 GPA drops to a 3.2 for example. Or 3.4 to a 3.0 (extreme example).

@Goro ?

Yes they can according to goro. Depends how low. An F yes. 1 c then no. A D might raise eyebrows. Going from As to C can put you on a wait list instead of accepted.

I'm getting a mix of As and Bs, and 1 C it seems. However I got 1 F in this online course (exam was shortly after getting my acceptance) which was brutally difficult. It was a completely random course, not a pre req or anything.

What do I do now? Ace all remaining courses to "counter" this one F? @Goro ?

This schools requirements are Cs in all pre reqs + finishing your degree. Nothing else stated...

Define random. If it's a science course, they may hold it against you. If it's something completely unrelated to science I doubt they'll really care

Yea it is a 1st year science course. Same time though I can have several As in upper level science courses this semester.

May just call and ask...

A non passing grade is very dangerous no matter how well you do in other course.

Even if it doesn't count towards your degree?
But you can fail 5 classes, retake them, and get multiple acceptances. How's that work then? lol...

Whats stopping you from contacting the school and just straight up explaining the situation? I guess its a risky scenario. On the one hand you could just not say anything and hope it never comes up. Or you could face it head on. Honestly I think there is just as much chance of bad news either way. You could not mention it and there is a 50/50 shot that they randomly find out. Or you could tell them and there is a 50/50 shot that they wont even care at all.

Personally I would just contact the school. I feel like you have more control and more room to explain the situation than if they did happen to find out on their own and it comes off like you are hiding something. Realistically I dont think it will be a problem though, especially if it really is just some random class, and especially if its an online class. But I think its best to just talk to your school and lay it out in a professional manner and hopefully it will be no problem.

Well one of my pre reqs was also from that school so I'll have to send in the transcript, which they'll see.

Has anyone ever gotten an acceptance revoked over 1 single F in a non-pre req course? lol...

The counselor mentioned on the phone earlier about just needing to finish my degree

Obviously they will see no matter what, the question is whether or not that will just graze over it and miss it or see it and just not care. Either way I know if I was in your shoes I personally think the safest route is the honest route. Maybe shoot them a professional email explaining the situation, explaining your concerns, and obviously highlighting that it in no way reflects your other grades and/or your ability to succeed, nor does it diminish your drive to do well in school.

I feel like its safer to be upfront about it, that way its even somewhat on your terms. If they do find it on their own and just happen to care a lot about it, the fact that you werent upfront about it shows not only the poor grade but lack of judgement/dishonesty, so it makes the small situation bigger.

But I am by no means an expert, thats simply just what I would do.

I have heard of no one getting an acceptance revoked unless they didnt get their degree and/or ended up failing a required course.

Is it possible to retake the course and pull out a B? That's what I would do.

Well if you already talked to someone from there, whats the problem then? You got the thumbs up from the school already?
Oh no I didn't directly mention this but that was what they stated as a requirement. They also state a 2.7 gpa as one so I figure being above that shouldn't raise any issues? I mean you cant really revoke an acceptance on terms that don't exist ??

So again, lets clarify this 100% here... You did not find this information just on their website or something? You specifically talked to someone in administration from the school that you are planning on attending? You specifically contacted them in reference to this issue that you have?

If you talked to someone from the school and they said its no problem, well, then, its no problem haha.

I didn't ask about this issue specifically, I just asked about the general requirement.

I mean Ive never heard of an acceptance being revoked over something like this. It seems to happen for things that are absolute (like credit hours).

Well then I would say its not a problem. If you talked to the school and all they mention is needing a certain GPA, having your degree, and having all of the pre-reqs done, then I would say dont worry about it.

If you get really uncomfortably paranoid about it though the only other thing you can do is contact them again and explain the specifics of your situation. But honestly, I think you are in the clear. If you have talked to the school and they lay it out what is expected, you appear to be within the bounds of what they want from you.

He basically dismissed the notion of having an acceptance revoked over a technicality.

May just send an explanation email when I send my transcripts in.
