Hello, I am the president of an org that does biometric screenings (blood pressure, blood sugar monitoring, BMI calculations) at senior homes and community health centers in our town. We also do heart health education in a hospital setting and biometric screenings supervised by medical professionals (nurses, PAs). Can I count this under clinical volunteering while highlighting my leadership role? Only asking because I don't have much else clinical hours.

Would appreciate any advice!

You are not engaging with "patients" so it is not "clinical" by my definition. Find a setting where you are engaging with people who are called patients. Ideally, you will be in a location where you will encounter a number of different members of a clinical team (e.g. physician, nurse, patient care technician, medical assistant, etc).

Do this community outreach if you find it meaningful but don't figure on it counting as clinical.

student club president (300) - performed basic vitals test and diabetes education supervised in a hospital setting and community health centers - does this count?
Every year in a previous job, employees go to a health fair where they get screened and educated as you have described. Nursing students do this work, but I can also see pharmacy students or some premeds do the same. But i agree i don't consider this truly clinical. It should inspire people to get an appointment if one needs to do follow up.

Do you perform a H&P like doctors do? Enter information into an EHR?

Don't get us wrong... your work is important. You still need patient facing experience and observe doctor interactions with patients.

What a great org! That being said, clinical volunteering requires two things - patients and physicians. Certainly highlight your leadership experience but it would not count as clinical volunteering.

How many clinical hours do you have? Regardless, you still have good time to acquire hours before the cycle opens.
