can residency programs kick you out for failing step III?

i'm an intern and matched into radiology. i failed step III. does anyone know if my program can kick me out of the program before i even start? please let me know if anyone knows anything about this. thanks so much.

some programs will require you to have passed step 3 prior to entering their program. i would ask the administrators at your advanced program for the answer

Just pass it before July 1, dude. I wouldn't even ask questions.

I don't think they would really kick you out for failing once. They could kick you out if you repeatedly fail it though, because without it you probably won't be able to get a license to practice medicine.
