Can Schools look at how many schools you apply to?

In a weird way, I am really hoping they do.I guess the downside is they know you might be truly passionate for their school as you say you are on the secondaries but would it not make them a little sympathetic to your financial constraints and grant you an interview. Again, you can actually go another way with as well. Thanks for the input.

Even if they knew how many or which schools you applied it, it would not change the way they go about deciding whether or not to give you an interview invite. Unless you apply EDP (but thats another situation).

I wish I knew where our applicants had applied. You bet it would make a difference!

Really? So if you had a borderline applicant, someone you seemed to notice but ultimately didn't grant an interview to, and then come to find he had only applied to 3 schools (yours included), that may end up pushing him toward the interview pile?

We could see the list in 2001-2002 season due to a bug in the online application (it was a very buggy year) but not since then.

A borderline applicant who had applied to only 3 schools wouldn't entice me but a superstar who applied to only 3 schools would as it would change the likelihood of snagging someone we really want.

I could judge reality testing, self-assessment, wastefulness, judgement... It would be really helpful!

They can't see where you applied, but they can see where you've been accepted

Do you guys ever hear this, "your school is my top choice" and think they are lying?
