Hi all,

I was wondering do medical schools (DO and MD) see everywhere one has applied, interviewed, been accepted, rejected?

I simply ask because if one has to reapply I think I feel a lot more comfortable knowing that schools didn't see my entire list regardless of the outcome.

We never see where you applied (except in TX).
We never see where you interviewed (I don't know about TX).
We never see where you were rejected (I don't know about TX).
We can see where you were accepted near the end of the cycle.
DO schools don't share the same system with MD schools.

I thought I heard of something called the National Student Acceptance Report or is that just a figment of my imagination? Is that where they list all the acceptances?

And I know DO schools don't share the same system, I was wondering if they had a similar system!

Imagine one applies to a large selection of schools and doesn't get in anywhere and has to reapply, can you imagine what schools will think the second time around if they had access to their old list…

I feel like even if someone is more qualified the second time around they would sometimes reconsider if they knew the person was just applying to lots of schools in general.

You are referring to the National Student Clearinghouse.
Individual schools are also provided with reports from AMCAS near the end of the cycle showing multiple acceptances for accepted and waitlist candidates.
