Would medical residency program directors consider for an interview an applicant with an Employment Authorization Document and a pending family based green card application?

Do you have the right qualifications? Are you entering a match? Why would they grant you an interview, based on that you can work in the US? You may have a leg up compare to others who need visa, but just because you can work doesn’t mean they will give you work......

Hi IMGASMD,
I am sorry, I did not give enough information. I have all the requirements to enter the match. I recently received my Employment Authorization Document but I am still waiting for the green card.
My question is this: could my situation refrain any program director from offering me an interview? Or do I have the same chances as a green card holder?

In general, yes. EAD's are full work documents. It's essentially guaranteed that you'll get a GC. Most programs will be completely happy with an EAD. Is is possible that there are a few programs out there who won't take anyone on any visa? Probably. But it will be a small minority.
