Can you answer this one?

I know that as an MD if you take usmle Step 2 after Sept. 1st you have the ability to not release your scores in time for interviews. I also understand that DO's can choose not to release their usmle scores in general. My question is, are DO's able to release only step 1 and not step 2 if you take the test before sept. 1st? Also, if you can, will the programs know that you took both exams but only released step 1?
