Can you do an intern license transfer?

Currently a P4 finishing up my last APPE rotations. Had an interview for a position in a neighboring state. However, I was required to get my intern license transferred asap because the training program starts early next spring. I never heard about intern license transfer such thing. How did students living by the border manage to work for both states (as an intern, not a tech)?

Just apply for a new license in that state. It shouldn’t take too long.

I had to apply for separate licenses in each state. I don't think there is such a thing as a transfer, especially since you didn't need to take any kind of exam for the license. It's just filling out paperwork.
