Can someone help me figure this answer out:
A train traveled from Town A to Town B at an average speed of 48 miles per hour. The train returned from Town B to Town A along the same route at an average speed of 96 miles per hour. What was the average speed of the train, in miles per hour, for the round trip?
A. 64
B. 68
C. 72
D. 80
E. 84

The answer is A. Can you help figure this out?

A to B is 48mph
B to A is 96mph
---------------
48 x 2 = 96
---------------
lets say the distance between A and B is 96miles.
A to B will take 2 hours.
B to A will take 1 hour.
So, 96 miles x 2 = 192 miles.
192 miles / 3 hours = 64mph.
