Simple question, sorta: Can you get accepted into an allopathic medical school if you've failed undergraduate courses?

Main point: Without retaking the courses, so just leaving them as is.

Assume the rest of the person's application is competitive.

What are your cGPA and sGPA? Fs and Ds pull your GPA way down. How many Fs are you talking about and in what subjects.

Here's an extreme example:

An applicant with a 3.87 GPA who has straight As and a single F is not going to be kept out of medical school because of the F, but it is likely they will be asked about the F on interviews.

Can you? Yes. Are you shooting yourself in the foot at the outset? Probably. But that depends on several things. First, is the course a pre-requisite? If so, the chances of you having to re-take it skyrocket. Some schools might screen you out because you haven't fulfilled the pre-requisites. Some might require you to take it prior to matriculation and won't budge. And a select few might waive the requirement if you've demonstrated the competency in another way and they really want you, although it's not smart to bet on this happening. If it's not a pre-requisite, you really don't have to take it again - your time is better spent taking more advanced courses you can do well in.

Are they prerequisite classes? If they are I don't know what the policies would be but my guess is no. So failing intro biology and not repeating would probably be a bad idea.

Not prerequisites, but some are higher level science classes.

I was just curious if it was possible.

Are the failed courses med school prerequisites?

Well, you need to have a competitive science GPA to maximize your chances. So it depends on how many classes you failed. It also depends on how you convey your story. It doesn't look good that you did well or okay in the intro science courses but then did poorly when science got more difficult/advanced.

I left 3 F's out of my 11 unrepeated if that answers your question. There's no point in repeating a non-prerequisite if you are applying to allopathic schools

Not so extreme; I've seen this type of thing posted in the Interview Feedback section a number of times.
