Can you still go to second look weekend if you know it's your first choice?

I don't mind going to meet my future classmates and a band I really love is playing at the city during that weekend as well (yes I'm a groupie..... haha kidding)

just wondering

I'm pretty sure that in order to attend second look you must be an accepted student. But that's just for the schools I went to, so it might be different at other places!

oh ya, I'm accepted

so can you go? just wondering

Sure. You can send a letter of intent, you can go to second look, you can hold your acceptance until the very last day and lose your deposit.

Or you could save the second look spot for someone who is actually considering the school and make a spot for someone who wants to go there.

they have limited spots for second look?

I was under the impression that they paid for your hotel and some schools pay for flights - so I also assumed they have limited spots.

Don't get me wrong, if it's free & you want to go - why not?

I think the # spots availble is depends on the school (some have more than one day) but anyone who is accepted can go. I think alot of people use second look weekend to scope out housing arangements.

I'm pretty sure the school will make sure that all accepted students who wish to attend second look are able to...as mentioned, some want to look at housing...others want to get a feel for possible future classmates...others would like a chance to speak with financial aid offices...talk to current students...just learn more about the school in general....most school don't seem to be paying for a second look weekend either judging from the 'official second look' post....I know for sure that I'm going to attend a second look weekend at a school I am almost certain to attend just b/c I like it there....want an excuse to take a day off of work...and want to learn even more about what all they offer on campus....

Wait. Are you kidding? Coralfangs actually wants to go there.

You should definitely go. You'll be able to determine if it really is the school for you, and you'll be able to meet some of your future classmates!
