....to pick up chicks? I remember an episode of Seinfeld, where Costanza brags to some chick that he's a sit-com writer in an attempt to pick her up. But in typical Costanza fashion, it back fired on him, and the chick was not impressed with his job.

So, does medicine impress the ladies, or will it blow up in my face if I mention it?

I think it makes you look like a douche if you say "hey sweetheart, I'm an doc/med student." But, it looks less douchy if she asks and you answer. I think it probably makes you look better that you didn't try and flaunt it, and you only said you're a doc because she asked.

i just had a conversation with some girl and she said that if she ranks guys on a scale of 1-10, she can give you only 1-2points no matter what career you have🙁

It's a double-edged sword.

It most definitely helps, once you play that card the games over and you've won if the rest of your game is decent.

The downside however is that it can be too effective. Girls will look at you as a keeper and wont let go easily. You're the golden apple..they see you as financial and social security, the type they want to marry. Parents will generally love you and see the same things in you that their daughter does. If you're just looking to date around it can suck.

If im at a bar or something I like to make up off-the-wall careers to avoid the conversation.
