can you use your own pen in CS exam?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You get to use your own stethoscope, as long as it's not electronic. They will examine your scope You also must wear your own short white coat. Nothing in the pockets allowed. No watches either.

also if you have any identifying marks on your white coat you will need to cover it up with a white sticky they provide.

If you will go to the NBME/USMLE website and spend 20minutes watching their video online...all of this and more will be perfectly explained.

the video should answer your questions....there will be a similar orientation before your exam starts

so - i'm just curious - I've got a friend who is hearing impaired and uses an electronic scope for increased volume - I wonder what they do about that!

I've heard they're pretty strict about the rules for nothing of your own. and i'm pretty sure you have to cover up your name and your school name if it's sewn onto your coat or if you have a patch on your sleeve.

Your hearing impaired friend should contact them immediately to inquire about modification of the rules. He may require medical documentation, or they may just turn him down entirely. But he would be well advised to know this up front.
