Hi, if I am a Canadian dental graduate applying for U.S. specialty programs, is it a requirement for me to write the NBDE parts 1 and 2, given that it's Pass/Fail now? Or can I just write the Canadian NDEB (Canadian boards) without missing out on too many programs? I am not sure which specialty I would like to apply to, maybe ortho, if at all. Just finished my second year so this information would be useful if I should be writing step 1 this summer lol! Thank you.

From browsing through this website, http://programpages.passweb.org/search that I found on these boards, it's clear that if I want to apply to more than a small handful of programs I must write the NDBE. Thank you!
