I am a Canadian and I am applying to American dental schools for 2011 acceptance. I wrote the Canadian DAT in February as a trial basis. I have not yet had the Canadian DAT marks sent out to the American schools because I was not happy with the marks. I am writing the American DAT in August and will have those marks sent out to the schools. Should I be reporting the Canadian DAT marks on my application or is it best to have the American Schools wait for my American DAT marks?
I am affraid that if I send my Canadian DAT marks they will reject me right away but if I dont provide them with the Canadian DAT marks they will have to hold my application until probably sometime in September when they recieve my American DAT marks. My GPA isnt that strong so I am hoping to do really well on the DAT to make me more competitive.

Thanks!

most schools look at your most recent scores so if youre going to write the american DAT in august, you wont need to send in your canadian scores.

realistically, you dont even have to report your canadian dat scores on your aadsas application because those scores arent reported by the ADA.

if you can, i strongly recommend that you write the American DAT earlier than august (as long as youre prepared). the earlier you write, the earlier the schools will receive your scores and the earlier they'll be able to evaluate your application.
