Hey...

Firstly, awesome board!

I'm in the middle of my third year at the University of waterloo in Canada. I'm majoring in Biotechnology and Economics. I have a 3.6 GPA, and tons of extracurriculars: everything from shadowing a dentist, hospital volunteering, research, working with disabled, etc.

I will write the canadian DAT in February. Firstly, am I correct that the Canadian DAT has no Organic chem ?

I want to apply to BU, Detroit Mercy, and U of Buffalo.

What kind of DAT scores do I need to give me a good chance ?

Lastly, my undergrad is co-operative, so after every 4-months of school I go off to work. Do you think schools will appreciate this, or does it not really matter ?

Are there any other US schools that anyone can recommend I should apply to. Any schools that take many canadians....

Any advice would be appreciated!

Yes that is true, as well as math as I can recall.

For UDM and BU, 18+ for all sections will be good (although they might not look as soap curving as harshly). For U of B, you will probably need 20+ on all sections as it is harder to get in than the other two (IMO)

This is fine because it is part of the program requirements.

Any private schools will usually accept a fair amount of Canadians as they do not have a quota on the number of state applicants to accept.
