Hey,
I was wondering if someone, maybe from their own experience, wouldn't mind shedding some light on what the path looks like for Canadian citizens that go to an Allopathic Medical School in the States but wish to return to Canada (preferably Ontario) for their Residency (personally I'm thinking along the lines of FM/EM). Some of the threads ont his topic seem to be a bit old and a lot of the recent discussion seems to be about DO schools for which the path I would imagine is a bit different.
Specifically I was wondering what would we be evaluated based on (Class ranking/marks, USMLE/MCCQE score, reference letters, Extracurriculars etc.). What one should look to do to gain an edge especially since not having been trained in Canada may introduce additional hurdles. As well as in general what the path may look like.
I would greatly appreciate any and all advice.
Thank You!
