I have a few questions for those of you accepted into the states... What are you guys doing for paying for school? I went to RBC the other day, and they're trying to approve me for a line of credit of something like 180 000, I was just wondering what your guys routes where? And secondly, did any of you get cars in the states? If so how did you handel insurance? and did you buy the car from canada or the USA?

Hi Canadian26. I've applied for both a Canada Student Loan and the RBC Student LOC ($175G). I have some friends that brought cars down. They shipped them over and still have them insured back in Canada. I'm considering buying a car before fourth year before I start my externships.

Hey thanks! Ive been trying to figure out the whole insurance thing for about 2 weeks now, but if your friends did that then I dont think it should be a problem for me.

Re; cars - Is it cheaper to have them insured in Canada ? If you are buying a car, it must be cheaper to buy one in the U.S. so wouldn't that be a better option?

Im going to try and find that out in the next few weeks... I have an insurance agent in the state that im moving to,looking up the quote for car insurance. Right now, my vechical is registered under my parents name so it may be cheaper for me to have it insured through canada. Ive also heard that cars in the states are cheaper than cars in canada, which is another thing I need to look into. Also, its prolly cheaper to lease a vechical as well.
