Canadian (Waterloo) vs. American schools?

I understand Waterloo is the only Canadian English speaking Optometry school. How does it compare to it's American counterparts?

Is it true Waterloo doesn't teach some of the things American schools teach you? Is the Waterloo program more old school? Thus being difficult to practice in the states?

When do they get students into clinicals?
