Canadians at UDM

Hi guys,
I am a Canadian attending UDM in Sept '08, and I just wanted to get some feedback from other Canadians who might be living in Windsor. Is it a good idea to live in Windsor and commute, and where can I start my search for an accomodation?
Where/How do UDM students find a suitable res in the Detroit area?

I'm not Canadian but I know a fair amount live over in Windsor...Probaby wouldnt be the worst thing to do given the fact the school is changing locations...from what I've been told it'll be like a 15 minute drive from Windsor..not a bad gig.
