Cancelled flight, thanks to the blizzard

My flight got cancelled to the an interview in a program I really wanted... there was a blizzard over NYC and all flights were cancelled for today and yesterday... so, I believe lots of other people cancelled... is it common for programs to reschedule applicants, or is that it?

I think it should be okay. I was in a near-cancellation situation once due to the blizzard and the program was very accomodating. I eventually made it, but that told me that as long as you call in advance, they will work with you.

It was on a Sunday, so they probably didn't read the emails I sent till today...
