i am canceling my columbia on feb 4th, my boston on feb 8th, and my case sometimes in april in the next few hours or days.
 
I just want to know some of your reasons why you are cancelling your interviews. Is it because you've been accepted to a school already? The reason why I ask is that I am contemplating cancelling my NYU interview for next week (2/4). The thing is that I haven't been accepted anywhere yet, just been attending a few interviews. Is that not a good idea? I guess it's because I really have no desire to go to NYU, expenses and weather-wise. Some of my family members tell me to go and that I have to do what I have to do, while others tell me if you don't want to go why pay for the airline ticket and hotel expenses. I'm a bit confused.

Another thing, how many days in advance is "situable" to cancel your interview?

First of all, why did you apply if you didn't have any desire to go there? Second, don't cancel anywhere until you have an acceptance. There are no sure things. That plane ticket and hotel room are going to seem pretty cheap if you don't get any acceptances. And to answer your question, I got in one of my top two choices, so I cancelled the other interviews so that someone else might get a shot asap. Good luck to you, and hey there are a lot worst places to go for a couple of days than NY! 👍
 
I know I am jumping the gun. When I first applied I said I would go anywhere that excepted me even if it was on the other side of the country, and all of a sudden I act like this. Stupid of me, but I guess I really really want to stay in California...I plan to get married if I did, if not I'll just wait 4 more years. I had a couple interviews here already and just putting high hopes into them. The other problem is that I had to take a loan to pay for some of these flight expenses and all my secondary applications, which really sucks.

Thanks guys for your input....put me into check, which I needed. I am excited about going to NY now. I've never been there and do want to know what all the hype is about. So I've book my flight and found out that my bestfriend's friend lives in this amazing upscale apartment that she will let me stay in. Pretty cool. So anyone lurking for an opening interview spot to NYU, sorry it ain't happening no more 🙂 !

I just cancelled my Case and Nova Interview both were suppose to be in feb
 
canceled my interview for columbia this friday.. somebody take it 🙂
