So I signed up for the DAT in May, and have now registered for the exam on October 12.

However, I'm not ready.

I already paid the $385, and I can't reschedule since the six month registration will expire.

I went online to cancel my testing date, and they want me to pay a fee of $60. I already wasted $385... 😡

What happens if I don't cancel my testing schedule, and just don't go? 😕

Nothing happens! It's better to just not show up and take it when you're ready. I didn't go to my test date and nothing happened to me 🙂

it really sucks how many times people post about not being ready near their scheduled date. And how the testing center tries to collect more money when people end up not taking it...
good thing there's SDN for the heads up 🙂

I still haven't registered for my test, I kept checking the prometric every week and noticed that there were always lots of open spots. There are spots 2 days from now for my area.

I think it really depends on where you live and how many centers are around you.

For anyone else reading this that has yet to schedule, I'd recommend checking your area first and seeing if registering early is really that crucial. It could cost $385 >.>
