A couple weeks ago one of the three banks that participate in the CanHELP program pulled out, sending alot of Canadian students scurrying for alternative funding. Today, the two remaining banks have pulled out, effectively killing the loan program that many Canadian students at US professional schools depend on.
This is probably going to be the biggest problem for students accepted this year that anticipated using CanHELP in the future.

The Financial Aid Office received notification this morning the two
remaining U.S. banks providing funds for the CanHelp Program have left
the program. Please see note below. TERI is no longer offering the
CanHelp Loan Program as of April 18, 2008.
