Hello Everyone,

My two main interests have always been 1. sports/physical activity, and 2. animals, which has led me to struggling to choose between a career in physical therapy and veterinary medicine.

That being said, I'm really interested in canine rehabilitation/sports medicine/physical therapy, such as the certification offered to DVMs and PTs through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute: http://www.caninerehabinstitute.com/CCRT.html.

It would truly combine both of my passions--improving the lives of both people and animals.

Does anyone have an inside information on this field? Such as how much money a PT would make in this practice? Most of my extra-curricular activities involve working and volunteering with animals. Would PT schools be hesitant to accept me knowing that I hope to eventually apply to my skills to our furry friends? Not strictly of course, I would hopefully work in a traditional PT practice half of the time and do canine rehabilitation the other half.

Any thoughts? Thanks so much!
