I have been trying desperately to find an inpatient setting where I can get hours working or volunteering and have had no luck yet. Can anyone give me recommendations in the Los Angeles area. Preferably close to the Santa Clarita valley. thank you

During my time volunteering I reached out to Olive View UCLA-Medical Center in Sylmar - I was able to get my inpatient hours at that facility but they had a pre-requisite of 100 hours in their downstairs outpatient facility before moving to the different floors.

There's not a lot in and around SCV other than small private clinics. Like toxicwaterr said, Olive View is a great place to get outpatient and inpatient hours in a hospital setting. I was fortunate enough to have connections to a medical center in Orange County, so I spent the good chunk of a summer volunteering there while staying at a relative's house nearby. You should probably expand your search, and prepare for a long commute or find a friend with a couch to sleep on.

Not really close to you but I did mine at USC Keck. It takes a little while to get into the volunteer program but the secret is to email the coordinator and not call like the website says. 6 month minimum commitment. Private message me and I will forward the coordinators email to you if you want.
