can't add Chair's letter...help!!!

So, I have already finalized 4 LoRs before my Chair's letter was uploaded. Now I can't add my chair's letter to anyone of the programs that require it. what should I do????

Are they just "finalized", or have you specified four letters and specified them to programs, and applied to them?

If they're just finalized, you're fine. You can "finalize" 200 letters if you wanted.

Besides read directions at the beginning of the process? Not much.

You can try directly emailing the letter to programs. Or bring along a copy when you interview. Or reply to emails asking about the lack of a Chair's Letter with it attached.

But otherwise you're kind of hosed.

This. Just "finalize" another, then send the chair plus three of the others to schools. Now if you've already assigned them I don't know what to tell you other than...why would you assign 4 letters that you didn't want to assign?

If you already assign letters, you technically CAN change which letters (even the PS) that programs can see/are assigned, as long as it is done by the (November 15th?) ERAS deadline. This doesn't actually work though, as any program that has already "retrieved" your letters/PS (likely most by now) won't necessarily re-retrieve or re-print your data if it's changed. If you make a change, you'll have to call/email the programs and alert them to the switch.
