Hey guys! I have been doing some serious soul searching and trying to decide on a career choice, and I recently stumbled across physical therapy. It seems like a perfect fit for me. I will be applying to PT school in a year, and I am currently trying to decide what to do this summer. I have two options:
1. Work for my dad's company (a military defense company) doing busy work and typing in a computer all day, but getting paid $15 an hour.
2. Work at my local county summer camp, getting paid $10 an hour for 7 weeks.
I would rather work at the summer camp, because it would be more fun, but I also need as much money as I can to save up for next school year. Do PT schools care what your summer job is? Does anyone have any input or other suggestions? Any advice would be great. Thanks!

It doesn't matter as much as you think. Work experience is work experience. They all strengthen interpersonal skills and all that jazz. At the same time, they may look at the summer camp thing as community service/outreach because you are working with kids. So that could be an advantage. Neither of them relate to physical therapy (unless you plan to go into peds) so choose which one you want, which seems to be the one that pays more.
