Hey guys, for the life of me I cannot figure out the TFE portion on the PAT section. I herd the line method is not good anymore because many questions don't allow for that method-which I experienced first hand whe taking the DAT back in January. I really need a good method. I've tried a few videos but nothing works for me 🙁 Please, I'm desperate, this is what stopped me from getting a higher score on my PAT section in the past- I'm sure of it.

The only way is to visualize it. Do you really understand what the dashed and dotted lines mean? You should be able to get some sort of an idea what the shape is from them. If all else fails, keep doing more problems from DAT bootcamp and then read the explanations.

Visualization is key to doing well. However, you can also answer a lot of TFE problems by process of elimination if it's hard to visualize.

Practice and review the answers to each question. DAT Bootcamp gives good explanations. Understand these explanations thoroughly. Study all the questions, even the questions you get right, because you might realize that there was a faster way to arrive at the answer. I find too many students just do as many practice questions as they can and simply skim over the questions they get wrong. Reviewing the questions is where you learn from your mistakes and understand the nature of these types of questions. Dedicate the time to review all the questions because it is completely worth it.

LOL tbh I just stare for a few seconds and try to figure out each protrusion/hole/nook/cranny. I would suggest using Crack PAT!!! It's really useful in helping you practice TFE 🙂
