I actually have access to Acrobat but when I try and open the Secondary forms in this they just open up as regular Acrobat reader form. Aren't we allowed to use this form to type in? I do not want to hand type these things, including essays - what a nightmare 🙄

Anyone else trying to do them by opening Acrobat?

I think it depends on the type of Acrobat file it is written in and/or your version of Acrobat.

I remember when I was applying last year that I encountered a similar problem. I ended up downloading the most current version of Adobe Acrobat, and I think there was still one or two schools that you could not directly write to.

you have to check the instructions on the download site -- some schools just convert their paper forms to PDFs that you fill in manually and mail in (type/write)

others convert them to PDF forms where you can type in your answers using your computer, and then print out the completed form and mail it in...

others convert them to PDF/web forms where you type in your answers and hit some submit button that generates a form...

if you can't type into the form and you have to type your answer, you don't have to struggle putting it into a typewriter and trying to line everything up....just type in microsoft word, and print out your responses and do the old fashioned cut and paste.... or just print neatly 🙂

the whole secondary thing is just a scam anyway...another way to get more $$$ out of you. i wouldn't kill myself worrying about it too much.

I feel confused about this cut and paste thing. I see lots of messed up pages ahead. How can you print out a word doc and then cut it apart and then paste it to the PDF? Should I use that special office white-out tape so that then when I xerox the whole thing there are no weird black lines printing out? This sounds really complicated ...
