Can't reschedule DAT, help!

So I am scheduled to take my DAT on Monday the 19th, but an emergency arose and I cannot take it whatsoever. I need to reschedule, but it's past the 48 business hour limit. My question is, if I forfeit the exam, lose the 225 I paid, will I be able to reschedule the test in two weeks? Or, will I have to wait an entire 3 months to take my DAT? Second question is, will I have a chance to reschedule if I call some number? I highly doubt they would bend the rules for me, but has it ever been done?

I don't wanna bring your hopes up, but I believe if u don't show up, u just lose your money and you should be able to pay the 225 again to take the test again in 2 weeks. Try calling them tomorrow, you might be able to work something out with them, but if not all you'll lose is the $225.

Oh really? I hope so... Would I call ADA or the prometric center I will be testing at?

i would try to go to to the prometric website to reschedule...it worked for me. when i called the number i got connected to a person and they said they couldnt do it for me but i was able to do it online...goodluck

Thanks!!! This actually worked for me! I was connected to an agent, but patience and respect went a long way for me. She rescheduled my exam and waived the fee as well.

DO NOT just not show up for the test. You will be waiting another 3 months to take the test. I just went through a big debacle with Prometric and the ADA. Prometric screwed up on rescheduling my test, and I ended up missing it. I had to call the ADA and get special permission to reset my eligibility, and I had to pay the test fee again to reschedule it. Now $285 poorer and 2 weeks later I take it on Monday.

Hmm.... Well I do have a confrmation receipt for the reschedule. What more can I do other than just showing up for the test? Double confirm with ADA somehow?
