I thought programs find out Thursday evening and usually call you Friday morning. If I am mistaken I am more than happy to start lowering my valium now so I am alert and ready on Thursday!

From what I've heard from neurology residents, the programs will have a fax from SF Match by Thursday morning. They officially have until Friday to contact you, but that wouldn't be very cool, considering most of these places will only have to call 6 people.

You will probably get a call from your dean sometime on Thursday before lunch. Sometimes the program will get to you first. Hopefully, it's the same for everyone this year. I can't wait an extra day!

How does your dean find out about match results, from SFmatch? I am an IMG and was wondering if they even have my dean's contact info...according to my dean, they have not received notification from the Neurology match in the past...

I must admit, it amuses me a little... I spent more than one night awake looking at the ceiling of my bedroom, alternately imagining my life in SF, Boston, Baltimore, Rochester (NY), etc.... By the time I got the call I could hardly stand it!

Sorry, but no! Don't call any programs! By Thursday afternoon, either your top choice will have called you or someone else will have, to say 'welcome.' Just wait for the call - I know it's tough, I'm sweating it out along with you. 🙂

I feel your stress, but I would be embarassed for you if you called. Nothing could really hurt at this point because it is all done, but I wouldn't do it.
Hopefully you will hear something before lunch anyway! All my friends and family are on stand-by with cell phones so I hope I don't keep them waiting all day either. 🙁
My father-in-law today asked if I had to take it. I explained it for the hundreth time!!

I heard from one PD about where they would rank me. Of course they can tell you whatever they want and change their minds before submitting the list. I am not sure if this is standard or not.
