CAQH: How long does it take for approval?

My group recently submitted my CAQH application for enrollment into various insurance plans. How does CAQH work?

1) Once you submit CAQH app, is there a waiting period before it's approved?
2) Will insurance companies be able to get your app once u've submitted CAQH app or only when CAQH is verified?

Are you the first person your group has ever credentialed? If not, they should know the answer to this question. Maybe ask them.
