Hello,
I'm a new grad looking for a job in Philadelphia area as a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist. I don't know much about the job prospect/market there (I will be relocating there for my husband's job). I am equally interested in private vs academic and am especially interested in hearing how the financial compensation differ from the neighboring cities in the east coast (my training is in NJ and MD) so I have a benchmark. However, any impression and/or sage advice for this inexperienced negotiator would be greatly appreciated.

Bad Malpractice environment.

And it’s the NE known for notoriously low pay and AMCs. Need I say more? I lived in PA for two years. I am sure you will have no trouble finding A job.

Now a good job, hmm.
