Just getting started in Cardiology - looking to see what are the major journals in Cards so that I can subscribe to them?

JACC (Journal of the American College of Cardiology). You can get it free if you join the ACC, which you can do for free once you are a fellow. You just need your PD or his secretary to vouch for you.

If you aren't a fellow yet, I'd just read the journals online. I wouldn't spend money on buying journals. If you want to spend money, buy a textbook(s).

Circulation and its family of journals, I would consider them highly esp if you are looking at the research side of cardiology.
I particularly like ATVB ( Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular biology) you will find something for you in their group
http://www.ahajournals.org/circportfolio/

JACC of course is the main journal publishing the main clinical trails and the guidlines of the ACC many of the ground breaking studies and perspectives in cardiology, however find their way easily and are published in the NEJM and lancet.
subscriptions to these publications might be expensive though. you get them through your institution usually

NEJM is $69/year...not bad. Lancet is ridiculous, as is the BMJ.

I think the best thing to do is to get a color printer. If you are in a residency program/part of an academic institution, you will have online subscription to the major journals. Download the PDFs, read and just print out what you really want to read at length or keep for records.
