Hi dknykid,

For the cardio part, Lilly's Pathophysiology of Heart Disease was really good (and affordable too!) A new edition came out this year. Also, Dubin's Rapid Interpretation of EKGs is explains EKGs is REALLY simple terms - it continuously repeats the concepts. Some people really need that kind of repetition and others hate it.

For the pulmonary section, I think Weinberger's Principles of Pulmonary Medicine is recommended at my school. I'm just starting it this week...so I'll find out how good it is soon enough.

For EKGs, might you hunt down the "ABCs of clinical electrocardiography" on http://www.bmj.org/ (BMJ); it's a good series and you have free access to the articles.

second on the lilly. it's great for the CV system. for pulm, recommend West's Pulmonary Physiology and Pathophysiology. 21 of 49 of our exam questions came straight from that book and it's super clear.
