Career change - BPT program

I am currently working in a pharmacutical company but after 5 years I now know the office/computer/lack of human contact is not for me, even though the pay is great!
I am interested in a career change into physical therepy, as I currently completed a year long personal training course and loved every moment of it, particulary the module on anatomy and sport injuries.
I live and studied in Israel, where I obtained a BA in International Relations and most recently a MBA.
Physical therapy in Israel is taught in universities as a first degree (BPT) and I have been accepted into a program at Tel Aviv University starting this October.
However, as I am an US citizen I was wondering once I finish the program can I practice in the US pending the completion of a state exam, for example California?
Does any know if there are any other requirements for foreign taught physical thereapists holding a BPT to work in the US?

There was an Indian student at my university who had his BPT from a school in India and he was moving to New York after his masters in Exercise Science - something about this being the only state he could practice in with his foreign BPT. Don't have any hard facts for you though.
