I am in the stage of life where you could say I"m feeling the pressure of choosing the specialty I plan on pursuing and excelling at for the rest of my life. I'm stuck between the career choices of being an anesthesiologist, radiologist, or an electrophysiologist. Each of the choices I feel I could see myself doing.
I have no motivations except being able to support three cats, a dog, and myself: letting each live a somewhat luxury lifestyle. I'd like to be realistic though and slap myself every morning to tell myself success is not going to fall into my lap. Going a bit of track earlier.. however, my main question still stands. You. Yes, you. I need your help.

You haven't even been admitted to a medical school, so you shouldn't have to consider these three career choices right now.

All three will require an MD (or DO?), so you should focus on maintaining a high GPA and getting a high MCAT score. Extracurricular activities and clinical experience are also essential to your application!

Good luck 🙂

You can't choose between careers that are completely inaccessible to you, now. Right now, your career is getting into a good college and doing well, figuring out what you want to do and having a good time.

Good news is, there's a >50% chance you'll never end up needing to decide that.....And even if you do, it 'll be 7+ years from now.

Decide if you want. But you do realize no one will know or care....

If you're in high school as this hSDN post suggests, you're not even close to that stage.

See posts above. More pertinent things to be addressed right now.

Hahaha welcome to my world.

Seriously though ditto what the others have said.

Yeah a lot of these posts come off like "when I someday win the lottery, how should I spend the money".
Baby steps. From high school get into college. From college get into med school. In your third year rotations see as much as you can and just before fourth year you'll make a decision and be applying. Most people change their mind a few times in med school so it's kind of folly to try and formulate a decision before. And each of these fields may undergo changes (job market, lifestyle changes) and be more or less desirable by then. My bet is you have no clue about any of these jobs at this stage, let alone that you'd like them. They are very different. So just keep an open mind for whatever career path you find most appealing.

Lol. That's the best description of these post's I've heard.
