Hey, so I'm planning on going into clinical psych and had a few questions for those who are already there

1) What is the salary like? Starting, median etc? I see anywhere from $50,000 to $140,000, wondering what is more accurate

2) Is there a major salary difference from PsyD and Ph.D? Which is better to get in the long run? Are there any fully funded PsyD programs and do they take less time to complete?

3) How do you deal with emotional stress the job has?

4) Do you prefer research or clinical treatment?

5) Can I become a clinical psychologist if I were to get a Ph.D in something other than clinical psychology (such as neuropsychology, cognitive psychology, etc?)

6) Are you able to have a comfortable living?

7) Would you change to psychiatry if you could? Why or why not?

8) What happens if I go to an out of state or out of country graduate program? Can I somehow have this transferred to a license in the state I want to work in? If not, what should I do?

Thank you so much

These are great questions, but this board contains answers to most of them within existing threads. I suggest you use the search function and also look at the American Psychological Association web site for general information about the profession.
