Careers in Canada for MD/PhD?

I plan on applying MD/PhD because I have a passion for and background in research, but I am wondering what tangible career options there are for MD/PhDs that are different than those available to MDs?

Is there a salary difference between MDs and MD/PhDs?

Do you mean career options outside of medicine?
There isn't much salary difference if any, in fact you can make less as MD/PhD if you do research because it takes away time from doing billable services. Only do it if you really like research!
