I study medicine, and I am applying to two different med-schools Avalon University School of Medicine 5.5years Pre-Med/MD program and Oradea Univeristy Medical School 6 years program. Both schools seem like great schools, I would like to know which of the two school program would be best, where you start with the pre-med program and than advance into basic science or go to Romania where it seems like people start with basic science program in the 1st year?

I'd recommend going to the International Forums on here. HSDN isn't the best place.

Is your intention to come to the united states to practice? If so, I would strongly recommend not doing either option. If you are dead set on getting into medicine ASAP, I would instead look at US based BA/MD, BS/MD, BA/DO. and BS/DO combined programs.

If those two were your only options, go to a Caribbean medical school. Caribbean schools will give you a tiny chance at a good residency program. Romanian schools will give you next to 0% chance.

None of these schools are any good. Oradea was founded in 1990 and Avalon in 2003. Very little good comes from going to a university that young.

I have few other options like St. George University, Ross University and American University of Barbados

Go to college and do it the right way. You will not secure a residency otherwise,

Yeah go to college. Without a doubt in my mind its so wrong to go to the Caribbean before you go to college.

Is there something else you're not telling us? Why the hurry? I would suggest that if you want to practice in the US than these options will likely take MORE time and FRUSTRATION than just going the traditional route. If you are foreign than I would suggest getting into the US "pipeline" in college instead of trying to get into it as you enter medical school or residency.

Survivor DO

I am not in a hurry actually, its that I am a really good rugby player, but I'm ready to make a commitment to medicine. I'm just someone who doesn't like waist talent and I wanna keep on playing rugby, because I can go pro. I already came to a conclusion I am going to do my Pre-Med and than go for my MD. I just wanted understand know if I went straight into med school what impact it would have. Thanks again

With your talents with English grammar you won't be "waisting" much talent.
End point don't do it because you will never be able to get into an American residency program if you go to either. Residencies in the coming years will be tight and international graduates will be cut majorly.
So go to a US university, do well and go to a US medical school. Shortcuts will break you here.

Also you're not ready to commit to anything until you've proven that you can handle sick people, intro science, and standardized testing.

I would also recommend learning English properly, and good luck getting through immigration.

The OP might also consider if he's a US citizen or permanent resident, things are not so easy trying to enter med school in the US if you are a foreigner on a regular student visa. It might simply be easier to finish med school debt free at age 25 in a foreign country, do a residency in Germany and work as a doctor in Australia earning a very comfortable salary. There are many options to consider.

👍
Australia!!!

Will work on it and thanks again.

It's cool, in retrospect I am being a bit too harsh. If you have any questions about how to maximize your chances of entering a US residency and practicing in the US, or even doing well in College or what schools to apply to, feel free to ask me.

I just highly discourage you towards applying to foreign schools if you intend on returning to the US.

No one is perfect, and any feedback is good feedback. My grades are up to date, A's in both math and science. My last options are in Portugal(home country) or South Africa(UCT), rugby is good in Cape Town. I'm not sure about the South African MBChB program.
