Has anyone been /going to carroll college (private college in Montana) and planning on going to vet school?

Also does anyone know anything about their Anthrozoology major and if it is good for pre vet?

Any advice or knowledge on this place would be great. Thanks! 🙂

Don't know anything about the college... but it does not matter where you go to undergrad before you go to vet school (within reason, some schools don't like to see upper level science courses at community colleges). As long as the college is an accredited institution you should be fine.

Also, don't know what their Antrozoology major entails, but there is not "good" major for pre vet. You could major in Russian literature and still go to vet school. The only thing that does matter is that you complete all the pre-requisite coursework for vet school and do well in those classes. It might also be of benefit to take a few upper level sciences classes that aren't necessary, but might look good. Otherwise, your major in undergrad means absolutely nothing.

I'm not familiar with this place at all, but like DVMD said, there really isn't a major that's going to be perfect for pre vets. Choose something that will make you happy. If anthrozoology is something that you would be happy spending four years studying, and be happy working in the field if you don't get into vet school, then go for it. Just know that it won't cover most of your pre-reqs for vet school, so you'd be taking those on top of the courses required for the major. I did a bio major to fill my pre-reqs but also picked up an animal behavior major because I really enjoyed it. I ended up getting a minor in anthrozoology, but I can't say it made a big difference in getting into vet school.

Thank you both for the advice! 🙂
It is one of the options I am looking at

Sounds expensive.
Best advice, choose a school you will graduate with no debt from and pick a major you will love going to class for.
Thank you for the advice!
Luckily even though they are private tuition is cheaper than a lot of oos undergrads and they offer nice scholarships.
The part about picking a major that you will love going to class for is why I am considering this place. You even get to raise a therapy dog as an upperclassman in the program 🙂!

Have you looked at Montana State University in Bozeman? The new cooperative program with WSU is going to be here and the pre-vet program here is pretty great if I do say so myself. 🙂
