How does CAS distribution system work? I applied to 40 odd programs on Sept 3rd (docs uploaded before). Does that mean all those 40 programs received my application on Sept 3rd? Or the SFMatch actually does it piecemeal? Some programs today, others tomorrow, like that?
And how do they actually distribute? Is there a central post office like ERAS from where programs can download? How exactly does it work? Thanks for replies

"21. How do I know my application has been distributed?
Answer: Once the status of all required documents is “uploaded”, your application is accessible to all programs on your distribution list..

22. How are applications distributed to programs?
Answer: Complete CAS applications are distributed to programs online."

Hi,
Thanks. But thats exactly where I am confused! Does it make it available for the programs to download by uploading somewhere? Or do they actually distribute our applications to each and every program we apply? That's very labor intensive! How do they do that?

Our residency director showed us the program interface once during a meeting. The program is able to login to CAS online and download applications, which they can view in electronic form or print out to distribute to other people in the department.

Since they are the ones downloading, if you update your application later, they may or may not notice the new material.
