Just got the email, how many seats would they even have so late in the game? Is it even worth going to this interview? I would hope that I would be admitted elsewhere before April.

I also have an interview at Case in April. Do you know how many people are there at the same interview?

I got the same email today, they say there will still be seats open, but April ???????

I know someone who goes to Case right now, and she was in the post-Dec interview batch. She interviewed in late February and got accepted, so I definitely think there is still a chance.

Maybe after Dec 1 you can call and reschedule for an earlier date? I bet some people will cancel their interviews in Dec - March.

good idea thanks pitt!

Yeah, just book the later interview. Case is known to call you or e-mail and say earlier ones open up. Or, if accepted elsewhere, you can always politely cancel.

Please feel free to email the Office of Admissions (dentadmit at case) to see if we have openings in interview slots. I would certainly say you should check with us weekly after Monday.

Of course this is also an important plea that if you are intending to deposit at one institution, please be courteous and notify the other admissions offices (including ours) if you want to decline your interview spots at their schools. A lot of people will thank you for your consideration.

I'm not sure where I read this, so it may not be very credible, but I read that Case interviews very few people at a time. They stretch their interviews out over a longer period than most schools, and gradually fill their class throughout Spring, rather than filling most of the class in December. If this is true, it makes perfect sense that there would still be a good chance you'll get accepted from an April interview. Last stat I saw said they accepted (approximately) 260 out of 280 interviewed. So, it shouldn't make a whole lot of difference when you interview, since getting an early interview doesn't seem to provide much benefit (unless all 20 of those not accepted were after March or something, which I cannot comment on). If you get an interview, you'll have a great chance of being accepted.

I interviewed mid April last year and was waitlisted. Not to mean you will be . There was only 1 other person at my interview.
