Case review...this is my situation

So this is where Im at right now:

Began college with a 0.8 GPA 😱 . Started to do better and better but ended up with a 2.96 college GPA, 2.7 on AADSAS. Didnt get in first round, went back to undergrad and did post-bac work, 8 upper level bio classes during summer, fall, and spring. Got 4.0 straight thru. DAT, taken in 2005 is still valid and 21 acad avg, 20 PAT. This application cycle is my last chance to become a dentist. I am planning to work as a dent asst until fall 2008. I am currently working on my essay, which will be a little weak, since i cant write, but trying to do my best in it. I am trying to get apps done ASAP, but so much more to do...

How do i look? any ideas? where to apply best? I am sticking to private schools plus UMD-Baltimore (State school)...applying to about 8 or 9 schools. Should i apply to like 20 schools, which ones, etc? Looking for any thoughts...

Find someone who can write to do your statement...you should use it to tell the story of your transformation from a 0.8 student to a viable candidate for dental school.

even though you had a rough start I think schools will be impressed with the end result. have you contacted any of the schools youre interested in? are you applying to any of the same schools? good luck!
