yes i do! thats so weird u posted this! i just checked that. i think its b/c i don't think i sent in my supp. fee or anything else. u?
I interviewed there- they have everything that they need. pretty strange.

acceptances.. they are more careful this year as last year they overfilled their seats. therefore theyve already sent out their first wave of acceptances; as students decline and more open up, then the committee will meet again to send out the rest of the acceptances

if youve already scheduled an interview i wouldnt be too concerned. but call just to make sure
when i called on friday, they said my file was in a "hold" state. I interviewed in Oct. My understanding is that it's almost like a waitlist, or second string for possible acceptances. Either way, it didn't sound good to me.
EDIT: I'm hold #2 as well. I don't like being #2.

I am also on Hold #2. 
When I called last Friday they told me that the admissions committee is still considering me and will re-review my file at a later date. However, the letter I got in the mail today says that they "may give further consideration to my application." I don't like the way that sounds. I'd like to think there is still some hope.

I just got my letter in the mail and it really wasn't encouraging at all. The funny thing is, when I interviewed with the dean of admissions, i noticed that he had checked the box on the cover of my file that was in the "accept" column.

exactly what my letter said.
well that's not helping my stress level. isn't case taking it slow this year though b/c of the fact that they accepted too many people last year? if that's the deal, wouldn't they have to accept some of us who have hold #2, whatever that is? i wouldn't think they would fill the class with the first round of acceptances.
If i get another letter in the mail, that will be the third time in 2 application cycles i've been rejected from there 
. Doesn't bother me one bit, Ohio is WAY to cold for me. Hopefully for the rest of you hold #2 turns out to be a good situation.

Hold 2 means that 190 applicants were interviewed and the top 70 were accepted. Everyone that wasn't accepted was put on hold and then the other 120 will be ranked and around jan 15th ish about 40 or so will be accepted again from those top 40/(120+recent interviews)
I haven't received anything from Case since the first check list letter indicating my application is completed. Did you guy receive another letter indicating " Hold 2" ?
so in that case, if i havent received an interview yet, my status should really just theoretically be under review..... what importance does it have to tell us that we are Hold "2"....?

Mine too! Oh noooo!!! But I still did receive a letter saying my app. file was on hold. Hmmmm....
mine changed back also.... I called to ask them about it and they said that they are still missing my DAT and a rec letter that is kind of late. So I am really nervous. Does anyone know how many more spots are available?

Problem for me is I was accepted at USC and I have to tell them by Jan. 14. Do I wait, and hold out for Case, or do I make the decision to go to USC? I'd probably much rather go to Case.

Yes that is very true. I have spoken to Case. Also, out of that (120 + recent interviews), some were rejected after being granted an interview and of course some people waitlisted at Case got accepted in other places and are withdrawing. So the 120+recent interviews needs to look like (120 waitlisted + recent interviews - rejections of interviewed people - people leaving waitlist that were accepted elsewhere). I am predicting no more than 25 people will accept out of the 70 initial acceptances. (I have nothing to base this on, though, just my opinion.)
