For those of you interested in submitting cases to EyeRounds, you may consider the following, in addition, for the same case, and get a chance for some type of publication:
Dear EyeNet Editorial Board Member:
EyeNet Magazine is in desperate need of cases for its popular Morning Rounds column.
The best cases have an interesting story that develops a differential diagnosis--then the definitive diagnosis is given, along with a few short paragraphs about the disease to add to our readers' knowledge base.
I can provide you with specifics regarding word length, art requirements and the editing process. (Manuscripts and art should be sent directly to me.) I've also attached a list of cases, dating back to Jan. 2000, to give you a rough idea of topics/cases we've covered.
Feel free to forward this to residents who might be interested. Publication of a Morning Rounds article fulfills the RRC requirements for resident scholarly activity, as long as the resident notifies his/her program director of its publication.
Thanks in advance for your help--and please email me if you have questions,
Patty Ames
