Hey Guys/Girls. Its come to that fateful desicion time and was wondering peoples advice and reasons whys. Money is not a factor in the decision and neither is the area around the school. I am rather looking at the schools themselves and each programs. So in the end any advice on attending either Case or Temple would be great. Thanx

Given the condition bolded above, Temple hands down. Its a great school and there is not point to outline the reasons why as you should already know why. But two biggest reasons is obviously how good the school is clinically and they are renovating the whole place so it s not gunna be all old and dingy.

Thanks again.....any other advice out there?

I really don't have any good advice about Case. I loved Temple but absolutely hated the neighborhood it was in. If location and tuition costs don't matter, then I would have gone to Temple.

case, good spec rate & p/f
During my tour w/Case, the students told me Case might be reverting to a traditional grading system once the Boards become p/f (next year?). Just something to keep in mind, in case the p/f is a primary deciding factor for anyone.

dmd87, do you know where I can find specific info/stats on Case's relative spec rate? Not doubting you at all! Just curious, for myself. Thanks in advance. 🙄

I think temple is a great school, they have a really good clinical program and it's pretty cheap compared to case. Case is good clinically as well but there's p/f, I'm not sure how things will be once boards change to p/f.

Can another justify the price of Case? I mean there is a big difference between Case and Temple, in term of price and i was wondering if anyone sees it worth the extra cash money?

my friend asked at the interview and they said it was relatively high... no real source though i suppose, but who knows, they might just be trying to sell the school

Cool, thanks. There seem to be few schools who actually publish their stats w/regard to graduate spec rates, unless I'm not looking in the right place (totally possible). Penn had a nice pie chart in their promotional booklet for applicants, but that's the only example I've come across so far. Not surprisingly, Penn's #s seemed relatively very high -- hence, they choose to publish that info.

Case; $237092 four year (without living expenses)

Temple: $204660 + (~30000 fees?) (without living expenses) (for non resident)

Please correct me if I am wrong

the fees listed on my estimated expense budget for instruments is 6455 freshman year and 2565 sophomore year. no charge junior or senior year. books and other supplies are roughly 2000 per year. therefore, beyond tuition, expect to pay about 18000 total (for all 4 years) in extra fees, not 30k. plus, ive looked into apartments and rent is between 600-800 for nice apartments a few miles from the school.

Case or Temple?

To shloopy: TEMPLE i guess.

Do you know how easy is it to get penn state residency in temple for in state tuition? Or is it impossible?
