I am from Los Angeles and choosing between these two schools.
Both schools are private so it doesn't really matter whether I am OOS or IS.

The price difference is with interest considering if I repay within 5 years.
Thankfully, my parents is willing to pay living cost and 10k per year for school tuition.
I am opened to do either general or dental specialty.
Just like my interview answer, I have not gone through dental school yet so I do not know.

Although I am kind of expecting to hear always go to cheaper school, I wanted to ask to SDNers again if you guys can help me out choosing the school other than the price difference.

School: Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine

Pros:
- New Health Education Campus and New Dental Clinic
From lecture hall to dental clinic, everything will be brand new.
- Cheaper tuition and cheaper cost of living: can be up to 100k difference
1700/month at boston vs 600-1350/month at ohio - Both near the campus.
Also case being about 52000 cheaper in direct cost.
So the total difference would be near 100k-70k depending on where I live.
So those 70-10
- can live by myself
- small class size ~75
easier to make strong connection with professors.

Cons:
- Cleveland
Not as exciting as boston?
- PBL
little bit of PBL
- Interprofessional education
Students in different programs to do PBL?
I guess this could be pros as well.
- no campus touring
Did not had a change to tour the school or dental clinic since both are under construction.
- Public transportation not as good as boston
I may need a car

School: Tufts University School of Dental Medicine
Pros:
- My brother is alumni from TUSDM (white coat from my brother and better connection with professors)
- awesome facility
- better reputation for strong clinic
- No patient shortage
- Boston
maybe more exciting than Cleveland
- better public transportation
- No PBL?

Cons:
- high cost of living
- class size of 203 (finding a chair could be a problem)
- more expensive (can be up to 100k more expensive than case)
- cannot live by myself, will have to live with a roommate.

If I only consider the cost, then case seems the best choice.
However, my brother is from Tufts and I can continue my family legacy at tufts.
It would be really nice to get my white coat from my brother and professors know him well.
So maybe, professors will treat me better?
But at the same time, I am not sure if the experience is worth of exchanging 100k.
Please, help me decide.
Thanks!
