I thought I remember seeing a thread on this, but i can't find it.

Does Cleveland have some sort of public transportation? Is there a way to get from the airport to the school/hotel without having to rent a car?

Any suggestions for hotels?

Yes there is public transportation, check you packet 'how to get to Case'

I stayed at La Quinta, but I rented a car (well I ended up with a mini van) anyways La Quinta was about 10 minutes, by car, away from the school. I heard most of the hotels by the school are pretty trashy-there are two schools on the campus, the names are in your packet, which seemed to be pretty nice, but where booked for my dates--good luck on your interview

Here is what I did: Booked a hotel that had airport pick up service (Ramada West..wasn't awesome but did the trick meaning cheap). They pick you up and then I had them drop me off at the red line heading to Windermere the next morning. It was a 30 min trip (about) and was 3 bucks for a all day pass. I spent about 60 bucks on lodging and transport.

I did (4 years ago) much the same route. I booked a hotel that had a free shuttle service from hotel to airport. I stayed the night, the shuttle took me to the airport, I hopped on the red line to University Circle, then took the red line back to the airport and flew home after the interview day.

I don't remember how much the red line ticket from the airport to the University was, but it wasn't more than $10, which was all I spent on transportation while I was there.
